The Redpath Society has been established to assist and promote the development of cricket in the Geelong region. The society is named after one of Geelong’s favourite sons, former Test great and current Geelong Cricket Club Batting Coach, Ian Redpath. redpath30_10_07

Local business identities, cricket administrators and just general cricket lovers, comprise the bulk of the Redpath Society membership. These groups of people come together regularly throughout the cricket season during dinner functions held at local eatery's in the Geelong region.

Excellent guest speakers attend each dinner function to entertain members, with names such as Gideon Haig renowned cricket writer, Mike O'Sullivan,  Malcolm Gray (ICC), Sam Loxton (1948 Invincibles), Paul Sheahan (Test Player), Tim May (Players' Assoc), Kevin Sheehan (AFL), James Sutherland (Cricket Australia), Malcolm Speed, Matthew Elliott, Ben Oliver, Billy Brownless, Darren Berry,  Neil Buszard, Jonathan Moss, Neil Balme, Gerrard Whateley, Olympians Lee Troop and Craig Mottram, Stephen Wells, David Hussey, Tony Dodemaide, Father Kevin Dillion and more recently Anthony Hudson, Martin Flanagan, Greg Baum, Peter Hanlon, Mike Coward, Mike Sheahan and 2009 GFC draft pick Mitch Brown, Merv Hughes amongst many other sporting and community personalities.

Master of Ceremonies Greg Wells, always ensures the evenings are well paced, provide plenty of laughs and of course offer attendees the chance to compete for prizes in the infamous Trivia Quiz.
