Club Captain/Coach Damian is the former Captain and Coach of the Camberwell Magpies and was only recently inducted into the Cricket Victoria 200 Club. He joins us with a playing record as an allrounder to be envied and leadership qualities to match. Damian has played 209 Premier matches with Essendon and Camberwell Magpies since his debut in 1993/94, claiming 245 wickets @ 25 and amassing 5677 runs @ 29 including 11 centuries and 19 fifties. At Camberwell Magpies he won the coveted Stackpole Medal three times, two batting averages and one bowling average in his 11 seasons. Damian’s outstanding performances were acknowledged when he was named Captain of Camberwell Magpies Team of the Decade. 
Assistant Coach Qualified level 2 coach who has an outstanding record with Geelong City in the GCA. Travis also is one of the bowling coaches at the club, in 2008/09 he lead the club's 2nd XI where he had a fruitful year with the ball.


Specialist Coach
After 3 seasons as Senior coach, Glenn has stepped down to become a specialist coach and has joined the committee. Glenn had a decorated playing career in Geelong cricket as a batsman, wicketkeeper, bowler and above all, leader. Wardy was one of those players that would no doubt have been a success in Premier Cricket had Geelong been in the competition in the 70’s and 80’s.
Technical Coach As a former Test great and State coach, Ian Redpath brings a wealth of experience to the club and has been involved since the club’s inception.As a former Test great and State coach, Ian Redpath brings a wealth of experience to the club and has been involved since the club’s inception. Ian still to this day is a regular face down at the club and does not step away from the opportunity to "fire" some grippers at the boys or be the hardest bloke to face while operating the bowling machine, He still hasnt lost it and looks fit enough to still play at a very competitive level.
Bowling Coach Qualified level 2 coach who has an outstanding record with St.Joseph's in the GCA taking over 200 wickets in the first XI. Brian also heads the Barwon Rockets U/18's side as Coach, where he was instrumental to the U/18 Rocket's winning the Commenwealth Bank Trophy in 2008/09. Brian is always on deck at training where he liases with the seam bowlers on their techniques, run ups and psyche. |
