Geelong Cats Sports Foundation

The Geelong Cats Sports Foundation (formerly Kardinia Park Sports Foundation) was established in 2002 to generate funds for the benefit of Kardinia Park’s sporting organisations, including:

Geelong Cricket Club

Geelong Football Club

Geelong Football Umpires League

Geelong Netball Association

Geelong Unity Netball Association

St.Mary's Football Club

Clubs using Kardinia Pool

The Foundation is approved by the Australian Sports Foundation and governed by an independent Board of Trustees, chaired by Helene Bender.

In 2002, the Founders Appeal succesfully raised $1million dollars in pledges over 3 years. All funds are invested and only the interest earned can be distributed as grants to Kardinia Park clubs. Therefore, your contribution will be permanent and will provide benefit to these sporting organisations over a long period of time.

Like other foundations, the Geelong Cats Sports Foundation has been established to provide an ongoing and lasting community benefit.

The Foundation represents a significant financial asset, geared for growth, to facilitate increasing grants to the Kardinia Park Sports community.

The Geelong Legends Plaza at Kardinia Park was opened in September of 2007 and proudly acknowledges the sporting exploits of the regions champions of various fields.
